Experienced Medical Assistant's Needed in Irvine
Certified / Registered Medical Assistant is wanted to handle both administrative and clinical duties in a facility. 3 years of front/back office experience required to qualify for this position. Experience drawing blood required. Experience processing blood preferred. Looking for candidates who are sociable and outgoing! That's a must for this position. Full Time, M-F, hours are roughly 8am-5pm. Responsibilities include:
o Interview patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information on patient's charts.
o Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
o Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment.
o Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
o Operates x-ray, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests.
Qualifications include:
o Knowledge of medical terminology.
o Knowledge of medical procedures.
o Knowledge of clerical functions.
o Current CPR card.
o Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
o Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
o Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred.
o Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.
o Relevant certification/ license if applicable.
