POSITION DESCRIPTION:

SLNC does not employ phlebotomists so all med techs have to be able to draw blood and do therapeutic phlebotomies, where they take a unit of blood, probably 3 or 4 times a month.

MICROBIOLOGY EXPERIENCE IS A MUST! 3.
Techs must take call.
Recent travel experience is required of at least 1 year.
Please INCLUDE with all submissions - Associates/Bachelors Degree as pertains to MT or MLT status in required field, as well as ASCP certification copy or verification.
Please note the facility requires BLS.
Responsibilities:
Perform patient laboratory testing procedures in all departments, i.
e.
, hematology, urinalysis, blood bank, coagulation, serology, chemistry and bacteriology.
Inspect, calibrate, operate and provide preventative maintenance to lab instrumentation and equipment.
Communicate test results to appropriate staff in a timely and reliable manner.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by Laboratory Director.
CERTIFICATION:
BLS/CPR, BLS must be AHA, ASCP Qualification/Certification:
BLS/CPR, BLS must be AHA, ASCP Min.
Experience :
1-3 yr.
