Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Position Overview
This position is responsible for all aspects of daily product production, with a strong emphasis on safe quality food control measures, resource scheduling, and enforcement of Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Responsible for:
management and development of hourly production personnel.
Skills and Specifications
o Strong Leader with results orientation using facts/analysis for decision making and problem solving.
o Ability to coach and motivate a diverse workforce, including development of direct reports.
o Effective communicator across all levels of the organization, bi-lingual (Spanish preferred).
o Must be organized and have good communication skills.
o Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
o Certifications:
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Food Management / Quality Control.
o Labor cost control, efficient management of production inventory/assets.
o Basic technical troubleshooting knowledge of equipment.
Expectations & Objectives
o Reinforcing principles of safe quality food production.
o Continue to improve production efficiency and reduce labor cost.
o Coach and develop direct reports to increase performance levels.
o Model and enforce all company policies especially encouraging an inclusive open work environment.
o Proactively initiate corrective actions as needed as it relates to personnel.
o Manage compliance of employee safety.
Essential Job Functions
o Ensure that product quality and integrity are upheld to meet the customers/product satisfaction.
o Maintain a safe and quality work environment for production employees.
o Weekly calibration of production thermometers.
o Complete or ensure completion of control and critical control documentation.
o Update daily production schedule sheets ensuring accuracy of customer changes.
o Enforce new employee training.
o Reinforce at all times the companies GMPs and SOPs for safe quality food production.
o Administer performance assessments including corrective actions as required in a timely manner working with HR.
o Involvement in the food safety program, to include but not limited to:
assist in program reviews and development where appropriate.
o Ensure that equipment, materials and tools are safely efficiently used.
o Work with maintenance personnel to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
o Support project management as needed; i.e. new production process, modification of facilities equipment, etc.
o Back up Production ManagerEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
