We currently are seeking qualified candidates with experience in Telemetry (Tele) at or near Cabot, PA. The opportunities available will include permanent, 13 week contracts, per-diem, or part-time options.
The Telemetry nurse carries out patient assignments and assumes primary care responsibilities for patients released from intensive care but still require close monitoring for physical distress or danger. Telemetry nurses utilize sophisticated medical equipment to monitor the vital signs of patients and track the results taking quick action to assist patients that show any sign of distress. Telemetry nurses also provide education and emotional support to the patients and their families.
Responsibilities Include:
? Administer blood and blood products, monitoring patients for signs and symptoms related to transfusion reactions.
? Administer medications intravenously, by injection, orally, through gastric tubes, or by other methods.
? Advocate for patients' and families' needs, or provide emotional support for patients and their families.
? Assess patients' pain levels and sedation requirements.
? Assess patients' psychosocial status and needs including areas such as sleep patterns, anxiety, grief, anger, and support systems.
? Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, endotracheal intubation, and elective cardioversion.
RN Requirements:
? Current PA RN License
? One year experience
? Authorization to work in the United States
