Job
Summary:
This position performs varied tasks in order to prepare and apply paint to the interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and equipment. This position also requires maintaining appropriate documentation relating to the effective management of maintenance operations.
General Expectations:
In the performance of their respective task and duties, all employees are expected to conform to the following:
a. Fully understand and consistently exhibit all of Peace River Centers Core Values, while fostering the same with all direct reports.
b. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
c. Work effectively as a team contributor on position related assignments.
d. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
e. Ability to adhere to company and/or programs dress code standards.
f. Ability to report to work with good personal hygiene.
Essential Duties/Requirements/Activities:

Perform general painting and preparatory work necessary for the upkeep of Center facilities.
Have the ability to react to change positively, productively, and efficiently.
Properly document time and resources used to complete assigned work orders.
Work as an integral part of the Operations team to ensure a safe and appropriate environment of care.
Must be able to bend, climb, sit and/or stand for prolonged periods and lift at least 30 lbs. in order to carry out the functions associated with this position.
Must be able to establish and maintain a daily routine so as to provide appropriate operational services.
Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of work related materials and information.
Must comply with organizational policies and procedures except those for which the employee gives notice of the need for reasonable accommodation and for which the organization can make such reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to maintain conduct and behavior consistent with the organizations core values.
Qualifications:
Education:
HS Diploma/GED required with temporary exception that may be granted with the condition that an applicant completes their GED within 3-6 months.
Experience:
Candidate should have some relevant experience in commercial or residential painting.
Certifications:
None
Training:
Candidate must complete annual professional enhancement trainings as well as complete all agency assigned trainings.
Knowledge and Skills:
General skills relating to protecting non-painted surfaces from splatters and spills.
General skills caulking, spackling and repairing damaged wall surfaces so as to properly prepare for the application of primer, sealer and/or paint
General painting skills including precision application and trimming.
Ability to be flexible and manage time, resources, and customer services in a professional manner.
Demonstrate understanding and ability to work with clients with mental health disorders or special needs.
Demonstrate respect and appreciation for diversity (culturally relevant, anti-bias, and multicultural).
Skills necessary to support and promote a professional work environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to form and sustain effective relationships with clients & team members.
Demonstrates competency and familiarity with organizational policies and procedures relating to the environment of care.
