RN- Director of Infection Control
DESCRIPTION:
Manages the hospital system's infection prevention and control program and staff.
Ensures compliance with regulatory, accrediting and licensing bodies.
Partners with senior leaders to deploy strategic initiatives aimed at infection prevention.
Identifies, investigates, records and communicates data concerning healthcare associated infections, epidemiologically significant organisms and state reportable diseases.
Initiates control measures as authorized by designated committees.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master's degree in Nursing or Public Health preferred
Experience:
5 years' experience in Infection Prevention and Control LICENSURES:
Current South Carolina Registered Nurse License; Certification in Infection Control required Qualification/Certification:
Current South Carolina Registered Nurse License; Certification in Infection Control required Min.
Experience :
3-5 yr.
Salary :
