Patient Services Representative
Be Well My Friend has a full-time, 40 hours per week, opening for a Patient Services Representative. You will function as a critical member of the medical office team and work toward the goals of Be Well My Friend's integrative health center, while providing a high level of service to patients. The Patient Services Representative takes care of the beginning and end of the appointment process for the patient. You will be responsible for scheduling, greeting patients, verify insurance, confirm patient demographics, accept co-payments and make follow-up appointments. These are just some of the important responsibilities the Patient Services Representative has to ensure our patients receive the best healthcare experience possible.
Skills/Requirements:
o Excellent customer service skills and friendly attitude
o Ability to multi-task, be flexible, ensure accuracy, and meet changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-workload environment.
o Electronic medical record and practice management software experience a plus.
o Knowledge of front office procedures and medical terminology
o Strong telephone, written and verbal communications skills.
o Organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
o Computer literacy and knowledgeable in use of general office equipment.
o Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Minimum required
Experience:
o High school diploma
o Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
o Medical Terminology course preferred.
