Mechanical / Project Engineer
We are looking to fill a full time Mechanical Project Engineer for a manufacturer located in the area of Athens, TN.
Salary range is $80k to $90k per year DOE, plus relocation assistance provided.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Must have a bachelor's of mechanical engineering.
Two plus years experience out of the foundry/heavy manufacturing industries.
Need a project engineering type mechanically inclined.
They are going to handle projects from cradle to grave.
We can teach them the process of building the custom equipment for the foundry.
Project management experience.
Reliability experience.
Will be in charge of new piece equipment installed to area, revising the area, analysis for reliability outrun, see if there is a better way to build to extend the life on the parts.
Just looking for a very hands on mechanical project engineer.
Truly Mechanical and truly project oriented. Someone self motivated, team player mentality. Able to communicate well because of dealing with maintenance dept. and production dept. They want someone who can better the uptime and decrease maintenance costs.
A good candidate would juggle anywhere form 3-8 projects at a time, sometimes do revisions on parts for four hours and sometimes as long as 6 months. no average workweek but typically averages 45 a week.
More during shutdown times; every other weekend and July 4-6 days and December 9 days and Thanksgiving is shutdown 3 days.
The thing attractive to folks for this position is that they will be designing, making, implementing the process from beginning to end for the foundry itself. Very little outside vendor interaction.
The customer is essentially the maintenance and production departments.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
