Research and Development (R&D) Project Technician Description:
The Project Technician actively participates in Building Materials (BMG) Growth Platform team that delivers pipeline of projects that have significant impact on the growth of the client.
This role contributes to the business's success by providing technical support on new product, process, and input materials development projects for building material products and/or systems.
The initial key assignments will be to evaluate technology scale-up opportunities related to (a) vacuum insulation materials and (b) HVAC duct insulation.
The position starts as early as possible and reports to the Program Leader within the Front end of innovation group in Granville OH.
Responsibilities Demonstrates a commitment to safety o Implements a personal safety action plan and review with leader and attends regular safety meetings o Ensures rigorous compliance to standard safety procedures and OC corporate policies.
o Fully understands customer requirements and needs for the improvement/development of materials or systems to increase customer satisfaction.
o Applies knowledge in product performance to adequately support development projects and initiatives o Works with partners and coordinates project activities with hands on support o Balances multiple assignments across individual or multiple projects o Performs laboratory and application testing and applies understanding of standardized test methods to effectively test products o Fabricates product prototypes and conducts field evaluations often using novel materials supplied by vendors and/or external partners o Analyzes data from trials and product testing and produces reports Metrics o Zero accidents / RIR on projects o Complete safety action plan with good housekeeping practices o Elevates customer satisfaction through measurable goals o Achieves assignment deliverables on time o Project deliverables meet Quality Requirements and Standards o Provides product performance insight not readily apparent in test data Job Requirements o An Associates degree is required, preferably in science or engineering.
Bachelors degree preferred.
o 10-20% travel may be required o Mechanical, hands-on aptitude is needed along with a natural enthusiasm and ability to solicit customer insights in the field.
o Must be comfortable using a computer.
A working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required; expertise in MS-Access is preferred.
o Teamwork Oriented - Self-starter who works with minimal supervision that balances multiple assignments; works effectively across technology, marketing, and production groups to ensure project success o Adaptability - ability to respond quickly to the demands of the moment.

Typically 40 hours per week, overtime not anticipated at this time.

Education- 4-year college degree (B.
S) preferred but 2-year degree holders can also be considered.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
