Entry Level Warehouse

Warehouse
Position Summary
A Warehouse Employee is responsible for ensuring proper inventory controls are followed; and provide fire protection system components to customers in a timely manner in accordance with warehouse work instructions.

Reporting Relationships
A Warehouse Employee reports to the Warehouse Department Lead.

Experience, Education, and General Background Skills
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical stamina and ability to perform laborious and strenuous work for extended hours, including overtime up to 25 hours per week, if necessary.
Good communication skills. Sense of pride, integrity, and organizational ability. Must enjoy working independently and with others in an indoor; warehouse/fabrication production environment.

Preferred
Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.

Leadership Skills Required
Must possess Wiginton Leadership Pipeline Managing Self skills, time applications and values.

Physical and Mental Demands
Requires constant (67%-100%) bending; reaching; stooping; pushing; pulling; grasping; standing and twisting.
Must possess stamina to perform physical labor for extended periods of time while enduring smoke, fumes, and loud noises indoors, in and around electrical and fabrication production elements. Requires constant mental alertness, corrected vision, and hearing to normal range. Requires ability to communicate clearly. Must possess excellent hand-eye and gross motor coordination, plus manual dexterity. Must be able to wear/utilize required safety equipment.

Special Equipment
Must be able to operate forklifts.
Forklifts and cranes can only be operated by authorized personnel.

Position Duties (Basic)
Material Pulling
Identify required materials; per pick ticket.
Accurately pull required materials.
Request material verification by another warehouse employee.
Package, label and verify completeness of order; per required paperwork.
Monitor and maintain good housekeeping.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Receiving
Receive warehouse deliveries.
Maintain good vendor relationships.
Verify, system receive and place into stock all received materials.
Identify backordered and/or non-inventory materials.
Notify shipping and/or customer to fill backordered and/or non-inventory material.
Assist buyers in resolving receiving issues.
Monitor and maintain good housekeeping.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Shipping
Identify required materials; per pick ticket.

Package, label and verify completeness of order; per required paperwork.
Monitor and maintain good housekeeping.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
