Fleet Manager

Daily Routine
Look over the 1st shift managers turn over report.
Monitor positions of all Service watch loads every 30 minutes.
Answer phones and assist drivers and with any questions or problems concerning past, current or future loads.
Assist drivers with fuel cards and/or directions.
Answer phones and assist customers concerning pending or future shipments.
Prepare load tracking report to insure that outbound loads are picked up and running on time.
Work with shippers to handle any time changes, additions or deletions to shipping schedule.
Work with drivers and Safety Department on any accidents or injuries to driver or equipment.
Work with drivers and maintenance to insure that mechanical problems have been solved and documented.
Handle any unexpected changes or problems by utilizing available drivers and equipment to insure timely and cost effective delivery on loads.
Communicate any delivery problems to shipper, consignee, next shift, Fleet Managers and Terminal Management explaining the problem (s) and what was done to insure delivery.
Do complete turnover with 3rd shift covering all potential problems and offer possible solutions that might be available.
Call vendors for breakdowns and communicate with the on road person on call. To advise of issues and cost.

Accountabilities
Service - Meet or exceed service watch service requirements. Recovery of loads running late a PRIORITY.
Timely Customer Notification of problems and our corrective action
Leaving an in depth turnover report for day shift management. Including all of the previous night's issues

Qualifications
Must have transportation experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
