Overview:
This position has the direct responsibility for the execution of new and reconditioned Oil Systems and Dry Gas Packages to meet and exceed customer requirements; beginning with order entry and ending with equipment shipment. This person will be completely responsible for the engineering management of an order, including all technical and commercial aspects.
Responsibilities:
Manage and Execute contracts for Elliott Packaging Solutions on schedule, within budget, and in conformance to client specifications and industry standards.
Initiate, develop, select, and approve the designs of the required systems within the contract scope of supply, while maintaining the expected performance, cost, and lead time of the order.
Maintain the booking margin percentage by resolving scope and specification issues between the proposal and the customer purchase order early in the contract period to the commercial benefit of Elliott Packaging Solutions.
Manage document generation and distribution between the customer, Elliott, and major sub-suppliers.
Execute all contract change requirements from quotation of price and lead-time impacts through purchase order change and order fulfillment.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding all aspects of the equipment order.
Acquire an understanding of Elliott organization, product lines, procedures, service facilities, manufacturing facilities and methods.
Provide technical leadership internally to Elliott employees by reviewing and interpreting customer specifications.
Size and select major equipment purchased items such as pumps, coolers, filters and other major purchased auxiliaries.
Attend customer meetings, such as the Project Kick-Off Meeting, Customer Coordination Meeting, and Pre-Inspection Meeting.
Perform special projects as directed by superiors.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a Project Management or Project Engineering related role.
Technical experience with some type of engineered-to-manufactured product. Ability to read and understand drawings, product transmittals, technical documentation, operational manuals, complex specifications, and other technical memoranda.
Demonstrated leadership and customer services skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills are essential to this position.
Intermediate level computer skills.
Proficient with e-mail clients, MS Word, and Excel.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Demonstrated aptitude for auxiliary systems and process equipment related to the rotating machinery industry.
Knowledge of Industry Standard API 614 Lubrication, shaft sealing and oil-control systems and auxiliaries.
Understanding of fluid mechanics, thermal dynamics, control theory and electrical components.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
