Full-Time Manager of Market Research and Competitive Intelligence - Respiratory will have primary responsibility for all aspects of marketing research for an assigned therapeutic area, including the identification of market research needs, and the design, execution and interpretation of market research studies and the analysis of syndicated, secondary market data for performance measurement and market understanding purposes.

Job Profile Have primary responsibility for all aspects of market research for specific therapeutic area, including the identification of market research needs, and the design, execution and interpretation of market research studies or the analysis of syndicated, secondary market data for performance measurement and market understanding purposes.
Work directly with Marketing, Pipeline, Managed Markets, or Business Development personnel in the development of product marketing strategies and tactics, and will interact with extended brand team and PM Management to present analyses recommendations needed to guide high-level decisions affecting product positioning, product potential and/or marketing.
Assure that all relevant information from other functions (e.
g.
Business Analytics, Forecasting, Business Intelligence, Controlling) has been integrated into analyses.
Manages Professional Staff:
Coordinates and manages daily activities of support or technical staff.
Solves problems within own department.
Interprets client needs and assesses requirements.
Complete Career Planning and competency assessment to ensure the professional development of direct report members of the Marketing Research group.
Assure delivery of standard and ad hoc tracking reports for assigned prescription pharmaceuticals, including monthly and weekly product reports to brand teams.
Respond to ad hoc information requests from other departments, including from BI personnel in other countries.
Ensure that corporate standards of excellence and compliance are upheld.
Coordinate U.

marketing research efforts with Business Analytics, Forecasting and international colleagues.
Work with internal customers to assure that marketing research results are being communicated and used effectively to meet corporate goals.
Share knowledge of research methodologies and high quality vendors with other managers in the department.
Improve and update technical competency regularly through outside seminars and through vendor presentations.
Establish Special Projects for Marketing Research to support PM's changing process and execution needs.
Participate in Special projects at the direction of PM management.
Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.
g.
EEO, FDA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, etc.
) and Company policies and procedures.
When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management.
Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to main BIPI's excellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.
Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience required.
5 - 7 years pharmaceutical market research experience or related analytical pharmaceutical experience (e.
g.
sales analytics, forecasting, etc.
).
Demonstrated experience in all types of market research techniques, qualitative and quantitative, including multivariate analytical techniques.
Demonstrated interpersonal, managerial and leadership abilities.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Demonstrated strong planning and organizational skills.
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of the organization (verbal, written and presentation skills).
Ability to work with other disciplines in an international environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage budget and resources.
Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization History of successful performance.
Demonstrates acceptable level of performance for all competencies as defined in the On Track to Success Competency Model.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.
), Outlook, and database applications.
Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).
