Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Summary Repairs and overhauls automobiles, buses, trucks, and other automotive vehicles by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repair and maintain electric, diesel and gasoline vehicles and various other company and customer equipment in accordance with procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, company policy and Department of Transportation regulations.
Examines vehicle and discusses with Supervisor, or customer the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
Plans work and coordinates with tasks assigned by supervisor.
Raises vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle.
Removes unit such as engine, transmission, or differential. Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear.
Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns front end, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, and solders leaks in radiator.
Mends damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts.
Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Technical degree in Diesel Mechanics; or 5
years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience,
REQUIREMENTS
Valid drivers license and basic mechanics tools.
SPECIALITY LICENSE
State emissions and inspect ion license required. Knowledge of diesel equipment required for repair of Heavy Equipment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
