Pharmacy Technician/Customer Service Associate

An independently owned and operated pharmacy seeking hard working, self motivated pharmacy technicians. Degree not required, will train on site.
Job Activities and
Responsibilities:
Will be trained on applicable procedures and SOPS. Technician will be the first point of contact of customers so it is very important that customers are greeted and assisted in a friendly and professional manner. Technician shall ensure accuracy of patient information and receive patient payments. Other responsibilities may include checking prescriptions for completeness and entering necessary information into computer to generate a prescription label and batch sheet (if necessary), filling and labeling prescriptions and repackaging bulk medications, communicating with prescribers to receive refill and insurance authorizations, working with insurance companies to resolve rejections, receiving patient refills by phone, directing calls or taking and relaying messages, organization and appearance of pharmacy, ordering and pricing merchandise.
Technician will report directly to pharmacist.

Minimum
Qualifications:
High School diploma

Physical requirements:
Ability to use a computer board, fax machine, communicate by telephone and lift up to 30 pounds.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
