The Customer Service Representative receives primarily inbound calls from healthcare insurance subscribers assisting with their yearly enrollment and answering other healthcare insurance related questions. May need to make some outbound calls for information and then return calls to subscribers or healthcare providers. During training they will be learning valuable healthcare insurance information for Medicare, Medicaid and other providers. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.
Starting pay rate is $10.50/hr. Pay Rate increases to $12.00/hr - $13.20/hr upon completion of training and shift assigned.
Requirements:
o Must be able to work any (8) hour shift starting as early as 8:00 am or ending as late as 11:00 pm.
o Will be assigned a shift upon completion of 6 - 8 weeks training. With seniority they can bid up to another shift.
o Any shift starting before 12:00 pm is paid $12.00/hr. Shifts starting 12:30 and after are paid $13.20/hr.
o Hours of training are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
o Prior Customer Service experience by phone or in person.
o Medical billing or medical terminology is a plus - not required.
o Cannot miss any time during 12 weeks (90-days) of training (No weddings, doctor's appointments, vacations, etc.).
o Some voluntary, some mandatory overtime - including approx. 3 weekend days during Open Enrollment in the fall - winter.
o Must pass customer service skill assessment (link) and phone screen to be scheduled for a face-to-face interview.
o Background check, drug screen, educational verification - High School Diploma or equivalent, (2) Professional References Checked, Healthcare Exclusion Checks - all must be performed with satisfactory results prior to submittal.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
