Product Line Manager - Brazing Alloy Materials

Global manufacturer needs a Product Line Manager, whose goal will be to drive sales of brazing materials to other industrial customers. Your responsibilities will include research and analysis of market data, and coordination with sales management in executing a business plan.
You will gather and evaluate the brazing market and related opportunities. Compile competitor product intelligence. Manage existing product lines through their life cycle through improvements, additions or obsolescence.
Your product line management experience should include work in a technical, engineering environment. You will monitor and manage Product Life Cycle to ensure consistency with product roadmap. Will prepare monthly reports relating to the PLM function and product line performance globally.

Will take the lead in product development activities including coordination with head of R&D to manage product development process, and manage new product launches. Propose product development project roadmaps which reflecting market needs. Develop ideas which fine tune or expand the company's product offerings. Study the marketplace to find enhancements to existing products, opportunities to develop alternative products, and alternative markets.
Evaluate product and market alignment. Determine product repositioning, alignment and interaction with other product line, and identify cost reduction opportunities. Monitor product line sales and profitability.
Will work with sales forecasts and strategic planning, and analyze data. Work on product pricing, develop pricing strategies. Review product portfolio and sales data to align pricing with market conditions and requirements.
Bachelors degree in an engineering or materials discipline preferred. Should have an in-depth understand of the Brazing materials market. Must have significant experience in product line management in an industrial environment. Should have a strong market orientation, and understand competitive pricing, financial analysis and marketing. Knowledge of logistics, manufacturing, inventory management, and quality. Should have good technical capability, in order to learn about the products and how they are used. Minimum of five years of experience in product line management and marketing, preferably with a global company. Must be computer literate, especially with systems like SAP, and be skilled in using MS Office tools.
