Residential Aide
Career Connections is looking for a Residential Aide for Havar, Inc., a large healthcare organization that services developmentally disabled individuals in Athens County, Ohio. Duties will include but are not limited to attending to unexpected health and medical needs, providing direct care assistance with daily living skills and hygiene, preparing meals, completing household chores and maintaining clients' property, and transporting individuals to and from outings, social activities, and appointments.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position starting immediately. The schedule will vary but ideally the hours will be Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and then additional hours scheduled around those standard hours as needed (some evening and weekends to be expected). The pay rate is $9.14/hour and comprehensive benefits are available after completion of a probationary period.
To qualify for this position, this HAVAR consumer needs a male residential aide. Must have a customer service personality and good communication skills. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a current and valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. on occasion. Healthcare or related experience is preferred but not required.

This employer maintains a drug-free workplace. Applicants will be asked to pass a number of pre-employment screenings, including a drug screen and a 50lb. weight lifting test, prior to their first day on the job.
