Bourntec is looking for Help Desk Specialist to join one of our client team in College Park MD.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge/Skill:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum three (3) years' experience working as front-line/Tier 1 technical support for standard office environments troubleshooting Windows PCs (Windows 7 preferred) in an Active Directory domain environment
Demonstrated experience in helpdesk operations (opening, tracking, closing tickets, user engagement, etc.) for technology support
Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, managing, maintaining and troubleshooting printers; experience with HP printers strongly preferred.
Experience installing, configuring, and managing desktop computers running Windows operations systems and common office productivity applications (MS Office, Acrobat, etc.)
Working knowledge of common desktop software applications, browsers, and security (e.g. - anti-virus) software.
Demonstrated ability working (installation, troubleshooting, etc.) with common desktop hardware (Dell strongly preferred) and software and associated configuration aids.
Knowledge of implementing, managing, and auditing the security of desktop systems and associated software.
Ability to lift, move, and physically install computer equipment and associated systems with weights up to 25-30 lbs.
Ability to work independently to successfully accomplish tasks and projects as well as part of an interdisciplinary team
Self-starter with good communication and project management skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
