Lead Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant provides clinical back office support to the physician. Assists the physician in procedures and examinations, performs patient education, and gives instructions to the patients as instructed by the physician. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or physician including but not limited to:
Administrative Duties:
-Using computer applications
-Answering telephones
-Greeting patients
-Updating and filing patient medical records
-Coding and filling out insurance forms
-Scheduling appointments
-Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services
-Handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping
Clinical Duties:
-Taking medical histories
-Explaining treatment procedures to patients
-Preparing patients for examination
-Assisting the physician during exams
-Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
-Performing basic laboratory tests
-Instructing patients about medication and special diets
-Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
-Authorizing prescription refills as directed
-Drawing blood
-Taking electrocardiograms
-Removing sutures and changing dressings
CMA/ RMA preferred but not required.
Up to $18/hr depending on years of experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
