Job Title: B Technician
Job Description: Operate as a technician with basic certifications and licenses who is responsible for completing (MPI) Multi-Point Inspections and other documentation, diagnosing customer concerns including preliminary and final road tests,. Assist with and service external transmission components on all vehicles and installing and removing transmissions when necessary to meet production goals. Identify Total Car Care business opportunities (brakes, belts, hoses, AC, maintenance items, etc.) on all vehicles and perform those general repair and maintenance services in an efficient and quality manner.
Specific tasks:
1. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of vehicle performance and drivability diagnostics/repair and transmission removal and installation.
2. Demonstrate knowledge of systems affecting transmission performance.
3. Consistently follow AAMCO procedures to meet quality and production goals.
4. Accurately perform (MPI) Multi-Point Inspections
5. Perform all Total Car Care Repair and Maintenance Services offered.
6. Work with all employees to ensure quality is maintained and help evaluate CBs (Comebacks) to determine cause and solution.
7. Participate in on-going AAMCO training and certification programs.
8. Maintain a clean work environment and perform equipment maintenance as required.
9. Perform special projects as directed by the Dealer or CSM.
Standards of Performance:
o Deliver 100% customer satisfaction to every customer.
o Work toward high productivity standards
o Above 85% productivity - personal labor hours produced to hours worked
o Work toward continual improvement of CB ratios
o Overall shop CB rate below _10_%
o Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
o Adhere to all Federal, State and Local environmental and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
o Help CSM and Forman manage parts cost
o Participate in all required AAMCO training.
o Must have an EPA approved Air Conditioning Refrigerant handling License (IMAC, MAC, ASE)
o Must have a current driver's license
o Work toward specific AAMCO Certification status and earn and maintain appropriate ASE Automobile & Light Truck SeriesCertifications for specific specialty services assigned. Job Description: The C Technician is an entry level technician working toward certifications. This technician is responsible for installing and removing transmissions, completing (MPI) Multi-Point Inspections and other required documentation, assisting with external transmission performance problem identification and servicing external transmission components on all vehicles. Also responsible for identifying any Total Car Care business opportunities (brakes, belts, hoses, AC, and maintenance services, etc.) on all vehicles and performing those general repair and maintenance services in an efficient and quality manner.
Specific tasks:
1. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of transmission removal and installation and performance of common maintenance and repair services.
2. Consistently follow AAMCO procedures to meet quality and production goals.
3. Accurately perform (MPI) Multi-Point Inspections
4. Perform Total Car Care Services as required.
5. Work with other employees to ensure quality is maintained.
6. Participate in on-going AAMCO training and certification program.
