Responsibilities:

1. Provide guidance to a group of Quality Control Inspectors.
2. Help establish inspection priorities.
3. Read customer documents and interpret them.
4. Inspection of in-process and/or final electrical/mechanical parts or sub-assemblies.
5. Determination of product acceptability based on established criteria.
6. Generation and maintenance of inspection record documentation.
7. Generation of non-conformance reports.
8. Interface with Quality Assurance personnel and QC Inspectors.
9. Interface with customer personnel for Quality Control function.
10. All other tasks required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent or Technical School certificate. Additional college courses a plus.
2. Five (5) years inspection experience required with demonstrated ability to work independently based upon verbal/written procedures or instruction.
3. Able to read and work with prints, drawings, Engineering Change Notices, procedures and criteria set forth to determine product/item acceptability.
4. Able to use a microscope, eyeloop and mechanical measuring instruments.
5. Good written and verbal interpersonal skills.
6. Basic understanding and working skills with personal computers.
7. Working knowledge of all inspection techniques and instruments.
8. Can handle all aspects of jobs and has the ability to train others.
9. Confers with supervisor when necessary.Rarely requires supervision.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
