We are seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatrist for our top Acute Care hospital in Maryland, near DC
Our facility includes a 12-bed inpatient psychiatry department and treats 95% adult, 3% geriatric and 2% adolescent patients
Typical cases treated currently are bipolar disorders (20%), depression (40%), and schizophrenia (40%)
Approximately one third of those patients are also chemically dependent
A day treatment program is offered to patients
There are 12 available slots, two of which are currently being used
Average inpatient census is 6-7, and the average length of stay is four days
The department averages 30 admissions per month and 350 consults per year
An incoming physician should anticipate seeing 10-12 patients in a full day from 9am-5pm
The expectations of an incoming psychiatrist would be to serve entirely as an inpatient psychiatrist or perform a mix of outpatient and inpatient work
The schedule would reflect 60% inpatient and 40% outpatient
The inpatient schedule is from 9am-5pm

Salary:
$215,000 to $225,000 annual base salary
Plus a bonus based on 75% RVUs and 25% qualitative
