Department Name FOOD SERVICES Job Description POSITION SUMMARYTo prepare, serve and retrieve patient food trays.
To serve food on the tray-line and clean the assigned area when complete.
Nonexempt (Hourly - Eligible for overtime)MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSWork experience may substitute for minimum education requirement.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLSAssists in the preparation of supplies and setting up the tray line are prior to each meal.
Serves food on tray line at assigned station.
Places correct items on tray before it is sent to patients to ensure proper quality assurance and without causing downtime.
Delivers food carts to nursing units by appropriate meal time.
Collects patient food trays following meals.
Follows established procedures for matching patients to their correct food trays.
Follows procedures, standards of safety and personal hygiene as required by the department.
Works with co-workers to ensure dishes are washed and food trucks are cleaned within established deadlines.
