OCSD is currently looking to fill the role of a Maintenance Worker.
Under close supervision, performs a variety of routine maintenance duties in support of the Building, Grounds, and Mechanical Maintenance Division; operates and maintains a variety of tools and equipment; and performs preventive and corrective maintenance duties in the assigned area. This individual will perform heavy manual labor, adhere to safe work practice and procedures, maintain accurate logs, records, and basic written records of work performed, organize own work and set priorities to meet critical time deadlines, and use English effectively to communicate in person, over the phone, and in writing; and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Qualifications & Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of maintenance, construction, or repair experience is desirable. Experience in the wastewater industry and a Grade I CWEA Mechanical Maintenance certificate are highly desired. Possession of a valid California class C drivers license is required by time of appointment.

Hiring Salary Range: $27.39 - $30.20/Hour

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
