Our Client needs a VP of Enterprise Business Applications (JDE ERP Applications) near Simi Valley, CA. This is a Full Time position so those authorized to work in the US without sponsorship will be considered. The Client is not able to sponsor at this time.
Client is seeking a highly skilled leader to join them as the Vice President of ERP, focused on ERP Strategy, Process Re-Engineering & Implementation to lead the migration from proprietary systems to JDE as the ERP solution for the company.
The VP of Enterprise Business Applications is responsible for building and leading an ERP program that is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the JDE solution including defining scope, objective, governance structure, timelines and execution of the business requirements aligned with the companys overall business and operational strategy. This includes the implementation of a robust ERP solution fully integrated with the front-end transactional systems including CRM and customer/partner facing applications. This role consists of working within project teams and with business stakeholders to develop an ERP strategy, translate the strategy to an ERP roadmap that needs to be delivered using the appropriate project methodology. The ERP VP is an active hands-on leader who is able to drive all phases of a project lifecycle and will be required to work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that all business requirements & the end solutions are fully aligned with the overall ERP strategy & guiding principles and executed with perfection and high quality.
The individual should be both strategic and tactical with a willingness to get involved in operating and implementing decisions and to help implement & monitor the various project priorities and status. A strong technical engineering background is required for this individual to instill the right development and software engineering practices needed to deploy often, and in small increments. He/she should have experience with project management methodologies, and a great sense of urgency and accountability to drive results in the team. An ability to influence others and build strong collaborative relationships will be extremely important as this implementation touches most key functions and process areas across the enterprises value chain. The individual should possess strong leadership & management qualities, including the ability to create and articulate a concise vision and objectives. The candidate will have strong people skills in the areas of selection, coaching and developing teams. Finally, the candidate should be a good communicator both upward and with their own team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Formulate the blueprint and overall plan to execute on the ERP migration
Evangelize and implement the established governance model including appropriate policies and procedures for the program.
Lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver on design and development for the needed business requirements supporting various Business Functions.
Lead requirements and design review of JDE modules to ensure that prioritization and execution is in alignment to the programmatic governing principles.
Lead and manage the portfolio of demand from various business functions.
Holistically connect and drive the process re-engineering needed for a successfully ERP implementation including enhancement of systems, processes and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place.
Work globally across the company including with teams responsible for requirements, solution architecture, quality assurance and production support.
Lead and manage continuous improvement & planning deliverables, building a results-oriented and accountable team.
Provide strong and deep business & technical insights in various disciplines across delivery
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, processes and best practices
Establish and maintain competence in current and planned versions of ERP products
Understand the use of Oracle and other industry tools / technology & their impact on project & operational goals such as the use of the ERP modules, cloud, reporting tools and software (business objects)
Driving technical, cultural and operational transformation and delivery of mission critical business programs.
Negotiate and structure contracts favorable to the organization.
Able to attract, motivate, retain and hire top talent in the team.
Develop and implement mentoring, training, coaching, performance feedback, regular evaluation of the team members.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE/BE:
Bachelors degree is required and masters degree in Computer Science or MBA is preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience of broad Information Technology.

years of managing staff successfully
Experience in driving JD Edwards new implementations and migrations at the granular level.
Experience with additional ERP migrations preferably from older systems to Oracle
Extensive experience in vendor management and contract negotiation specifically with software and services vendors.
Experience in working with Enterprise Architecture, Project and Program Management, Systems Design and Delivery, and Infrastructure
Charismatic leader with strong executive presence; able to work well cross-functionally and cross-culturally and influence a broad range of internal and external audiences
Proven ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organizational structure that spans across the globe.
Strong experience in managing remote teams and remote projects. Strong cross-cultural background. Fluency in French a plus.
Strong budget management background, including forecasting and modeling and proven ability to plan, forecast, and manage resources.
Track record of on-time and on-budget system program delivery.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
