Responsibilities:
IT Engineer I participates in software engineering development projects.
Uses both hardware and software engineering experience to aid project planning, design, business analysis, development, test and vendor management.
Also may get involved in supporting/troubleshooting wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms to include broadband (cable, DSL, metro E), T1 circuit infrastructure and Wifi networks.
This is a Tier2 support position with IT Network Operations and position requires 24X7 support.
Tier2 personnel are also responsible for providing second level support for network equipment including routers, switches, content engines, broadband modems, Rap5s and AP105s.
In addition, Tier 2 personnel will work with vendors who manage multiple carriers/LEC's for connectivity restoral and assist with managing chronic issues to permanent solution.

Work Schedule:
They cannot pinpoint a particular shift at this time. They will need to be somewhat flexible.
They will work at least one weekend day (Sat or Sun) and that could be dayshift or evening. If evening, their shift will end no later than 10pm. Must work onsite in Irving office. Will accept recent college graduates

Basic Qualifications include:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent. 3-4 years related work experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
