Bloomfield East, a 130 bed skilled nursing facility located in Lynwood, CA, is searching for a Dietary Services Supervisor. The DSS will direct and assist the preparation and serving of regular meals and therapeutic diets, order food and supplies and maintain area and equipment in sanitary condition, and assure the smooth operation with other skilled nursing facility departments.
Qualifications:
The Dietary Services Supervisor must be a certified graduate of an approved Dietetic Service Supervisor course that meets the California and federal care regulations.
Duties are determined by the facilities needs and may include, but are not limited to the following:
o Is responsible for food purchase, production, and timely service of meals.
o Directs and supervises all dietary functions and personnel.
o Maintains cost records and works to meet budget guidelines.
o Hires, orients, trains, counsels, disciplines, and when appropriate, terminates dietary employees.
o Schedules work hours and assignments also reviews and checks staff work performance. Is responsible to see that
each shift is properly staffed.
o Develops job descriptions, cleaning schedules, and other dietary management tools. Checks in and inventories
incoming food and supplies.
o Assures that proper storage is available, and that handling of food and supplies complies with current guidelines.
o Processes new diet orders and diet changes when received from nursing service, and keeps diet cards updated.
o Plans and assists in preparation and service of holiday and special meals and functions.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
