Energy Advisor

Energy Advisor- Energy Efficiency with customer incentives.
Join the growing and exciting Lime Energy's Sales Team - selling energy efficiency with high levels of customer incentives. As part of the sales team, our Energy Advisors are responsible for visiting small business customers to conduct site assessments, creating formal customer proposals and then sell those proposals across a wide variety of small business customer segments, promoting energy efficiency . Specific Duties:
oConduct on site commercial energy audits for eligible utility customers
oProvide information to customers on available incentives and details of the program
oPrepare and present proposals that recommend energy conservation measures, provide customer costs and incentives, and then sell the value proposition to the customer
oMaintain strong ongoing communications with customers to assure customer satisfaction
oPrepare status reports to accurately describe activities in the field and monitor progress towards program goals
oMeet or exceed set proposal and sales objectives
oContribute to the deployment of program marketing and outreach campaigns
oCoordinate with or follow up on program quality assurance activities such as field inspections and customer surveys, as appropriate
Required Skills:

oExcellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
oDetailed oriented with the ability to work to schedules and objectives
oAbility to learn and present energy efficiency concepts
oProven ability to conduct successful cold calls and generate leads
oTeam player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
oLocal working knowledge of the area preferred
oSound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
oProficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Educational Requirements:
oBachelors or Associates Degree with 3-5 years sales experience or,
oPrior Military Service with Honorable Discharge with 3-5 years related experience
o2-5 years of technically oriented sales experience a plus, but not required
oExperience with energy auditing or commercial lighting is a plus, not required
oStrong sales background required
Working Conditions:
oSignificant field work requiring driving and/or walking
o80% local travel with compensation package
oValid driver's license and access to a reliable car required (car allowance will be provided)
oOpportunity for promotion based upon performance
The ideal candidate should live between Medina and Rochester. Sales territory will cover Gasport, Medina and Brockport.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
