Supervisor - Groveport
Overall Job Function: A Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities, including managing team members for a daily shift, and executing projects to achieve company and customer objectives successfully.
Job Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Lead a diverse team of 20-30 team members to coordinate the successful completion of daily objectives
Collaborate with operational leaders to maintain a comprehensive building focus
Inspire team members to achieve desired results in quality and productivity
Recognize operational inefficiencies and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement
Reviews workload and assigns tasks to employees to ensure service requirements are achieved
Correctly utilizes a warehouse management system and maintains appropriate work documents
Correctly interprets and enforces company policies and safety procedures to ensure compliance
The ability to create and foster a team environment
Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred
Two years of experience in warehouse operations, including one year supervisory experience
The ability to problem solve, analyze, and adapt to a rapid changing environment
Knowledge of warehouse operations
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Strong organizational, time-management, and project management skills
Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software
Physical Demands / Work Environment
Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Working environments, include but are not limited to warehouse, climate controlled office and a variety of work environments.
May be required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighting up to 50 pounds. A full range of body motion it required on the job to include frequent sitting, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, carrying, grasping, pinching, feeling, walking, standing, climbing, driving, pushing/pulling, handling, balancing, reaching on all planes.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
