Job Summary
We are seeking a PLC II that is looking to engage in creative and innovation solutions to help with process and control improvements. The PLC II will have the opportunity to design and manage industrial control systems of manufacturing equipment in our sawmill plant in northwestern Oregon. Your accountabilities
oUtilize a strong understanding of PLC programming, electrical and controls systems to design and repair electrical control systems in the plant
oProvide guidance and participate in preventive and predictive maintenance of the electrical and control systems
oEvaluate and analyze control processes to identify opportunities to increase value for the plant
oServe as lead in developing and implementing strategies for targeted equipment improvements, utilizing new and existing automation and control technologies for both short and long-term solutions
oAssist the maintenance and management team in process improvements while demonstrating and driving a culture of continuous improvement
oInterface with departments and outside electrical vendors to troubleshoot and problem solve
oEnsure plant equipment control systems are operating effectively and in compliance with safety regulations
oProvide guidance for the safe installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical control systems, including components of machinery and equipment
o Your qualifications
oA strong understanding of digital and analog machine controls as well as the use of PLCs in automation and monitoring
oExperience with RS Logix 5000 platform, Yaskawa Servo Drives, Cognex cameras, hydraulic motion control and related hardware preferred
oBS Degree or equivalent experience in industrial controls/instrumentation related field
oMinimum of 5 years' experience with electrical and control systems
oElectrical maintenance experience with MCC's, VFD's, conveying and hydraulic systems
oExcellent verbal and written communication skills
oTeam player and highly self-motivated individual
oPrevious sawmill experience not required, but candidates should be adaptable to new environment
oOregon Electrical License preferred but not required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
