Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer shall be responsible for the following
Implement Lean Manufacturing methods & principles
Help Eagle Bend achieve cost-saving goals in alignment with business plan
Perform Time & Motion studies to establish and develop standardized process times
Assist with performing Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA's) for manufacturing
Train shop floor team members and supervision in applying Lean Manufacturing concepts
Coordinate process improvements for existing operations using Value Stream Mapping techniques
Encourage employee participation and assist with recognition of achievements
Record and monitor results of process improvement effects on efficiency, scrap, and other indicators
Optimize work cell layouts using material flow logic while incorporating operator ergonomics
Participate in plant layout review for optimum efficiency and reduction of waste using AutoCAD
Support engineering personnel with new program development
Seek cost reduction opportunities and workplace safety enhancements
Develop & improve reporting systems

Education
Bachelor's Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university
Lean Manufacturing, 5S disciplines
Time & Motion studies, work sampling, ergonomics
High school graduate or equivalent required

Experience & Abilities
Prefer 1-3 years' experience in automotive/manufacturing/tier-one supplier environment
Must understand plant operations and process flow as they relate to engineering
Strong organizational, planning, written and verbal communication skills (read, write, speak English fluently) with team
Individual must be able to interface with team members at all levels of the organization including management, engineers, supervisors, technicians, and manufacturing operators
May require additional hours worked on different shifts
This individual will work closely with both production team members and with engineering, spending a majority of their time directly on the shop floor
Common office equipment (i.e. PC, copier, fax, etc.)
Microsoft Office (advanced level) & AutoCAD software
Assorted machinery used in the manufacturing process
Video camera and stopwatch
Ability to read blueprints, metal fabricating, GD&T and TS16949 requirements, computer-aided design helpful
Individual to be mechanically inclined, self-motivated and reliable
Individual must observe all safety regulations to insure own and others' safety
Ability to work overtime as required

Enterprise resource Planning (ERP) systems software
Design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLookups, histograms)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
