June 8th-12th; June 22nd - 26th ; July 20th - 24th Area of responsibility:
Measure earplug attenuation for workers using VeriPRO earplug fit-testing system.
Determine need for training or different earplug selection for each worker.
Conduct group, small-group or individual hearing conservation training.
Motivate workers to value their hearing.
Howard Leight training methods and materials will be used.
Maintain data collected at end-users sites.
This might include VeriPRO fit-test results, training documentation, or noise measurement.
These services are provided to Honeywell customers on a fee for service basis.
Incumbent represents Honeywell Safety Products to end-user.
Travel to end-user sites in the US and Canada is required.
Knowledge and Skills:
Good oral communication skills are required to explain training concepts and tasks to workers and to work in harmony with customers.
Knowledge of behavior modification techniques is needed to coach/teach the correct use of earplugs and to motive individuals to value their hearing.
Ability to learn simple computer program and to troubleshoot basic computer issues.
Proficient in one-on-one and small and large group presentations.
Experience with basic Excel functions (table management and data imports) is needed.
Other Requirements:
It is vital that the candidate is able to take instruction and to adopt the methods and tools used by the Honeywell team.
Incumbent will undergo a skills test prior to independent work.
Bilingual (English and French or Spanish) is desirable.
Occupational Hearing Conservationist certification (from Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation) is desirable.
