Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; 3
years of experience doing process optimization and design through installation of projects with a budget size of at least $50,000.
Candidates with powders handling, grinding, mixing, milling, spray drying, reactors and evaporation experience are highly preferred.
Industries-wise, people out of foods, cement, chemicals, or other closely related industries would be best.

Job Description:
This person will be the only engineer on site and will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including process optimization and project work.
This person initial assignment will be the process scale-up of a new product expansion ($3MM) from pilot-scale to full-scale including selection and sizing of equipment, selection of vendors, vendor management and process start-up.
The products that this plant makes are food-grade additives and this plant is regulated as a food plant.
This company has an aggressive plant to quadruple their business revenue within the next two years and that starts with product expansions.
This plant employs approximately 25 people and is a family-owned company.
Minimal travel associate with this role.
Relocation assistance is available.
Most people who work at this plant live in Carbondale which is a town of about 25,000.
St.
Louis, MO is about 2 hours away and Paducah, KY is about an hour away.
