REGISTRAR (Service Line)
At Bayhealth, our committed staff of employees, physicians and volunteers work together to deliver our mission of improving the health status of all members of the Bayhealth community.
The Registrar (Service Line) collects accurate demographic and financial information critical to the success of the hospital's reimbursement, while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements including, but not limited to:
CMS, Joint Commission, HIPAA and EMTALA.
Orders tests and assigns the preliminary procedure codes.
May also assist the supervisor with reports and other designated projects or assignments.
High School diploma/GED required; Associate Degree in Business or a related field preferred.
Must have at least one (1) year experience in a customer service role.
Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.
Must have basic computer skills with MS Office.
Must be able to key a minimum of 30 wpm.
CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
