EnerPath is proud to be expanding our presence in New York! EnerPath has recently partnered with the New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas & Electric (RG&E) to implement the Small Business Energy Efficiency Program and install energy efficient lighting in small businesses throughout upstate New York. We are currently seeking to hire Entry -Level Energy Service Representatives (ESRs) to perform Outside Sales and Marketing of this program and join EnerPath's team and lead this innovative program. BASIC FUNCTION
The Energy Service Representative for the Small Business Energy Efficiency Program is an entry-level outside sales position for individuals who will act as the primary interface with small businesses. Responsibilities include educating customers about the Small Business Energy Efficiency Program and the benefits of energy-efficiency upgrades. ESRs will evaluate and identify energy saving opportunities using EnerPath's PDA-based energy-auditing tools (training will be provided). ESR's will enroll customers in the program and obtain authorization for the installation of energy efficient measures. ESR's may also enroll customers through qualified leads generated by marketing partners and by visiting small businesses directly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Identify key decision makers on-site and educate them about the program offerings.
2) Conduct energy assessments of equipment in small businesses using EnerPath's PDA-based software (training will be provided).
3) Educate customers about identified equipment change-out opportunities and obtains signature for installation approval.
4) Explain the savings and environmental benefits of proposed changes and obtain customer authorizations.
5) Explain next steps with the installation process, leaving the customer fully aware of what they may expect.
6) Educate customer about general energy saving tips and desired behavioral changes that could be made to save energy.
7) Attend scheduled department meetings and training programs.
8) Meet all program performance and standards and requirements for professionalism and quality, including weekly sales goals.
9) Responsible for representing EnerPath in a professional manner and abiding by all safety and employee guidelines.
10) Responsible for maintaining and protecting all electronic equipment issued.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
1) Candidates have good sales and customer service skills
2) Must be organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated (able to manage schedules, set-up appointments and customer follow-up).
3) High School diploma (or equivalent) is a minimum. Additional College, Engineering, Communications, or technical curriculums are preferred but not mandatory.
4) Able to proficiently use Microsoft Office programs including MS Word and MS Excel.
5) Good communication skills with the ability to teach/educate with passion and a strong knowledge base.
6) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
7) Must possess a valid driver's license applicable to state laws and dependable transportation.
8) Ability to work a flexible schedules
9) Ability to speak English and Spanish is preferred.
10) Past customer service or sales experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
