PRN Registered Nurse
Specialty Pharmacy seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN position visiting patients in home.
Excellent infusion skills required, pediatric experience preferred.
Must have good CVL and Port-a-cath accessing capabilities.
One to three years of nursing experience required; ICU, ER, or Medical/surgical experience preferred.
Must have a valid Mississippi license, and be CPR certified.
Typical PRN visit loads vary, but can be as high as three visits per week, to as low as zero visits per week. Rare situations may occur requiring daily visits for up to a week.
Must be available for on call visits when needs arise; On call pay is $50 per week, with each visit an additional $50 (for infusions, or education) plus mileage reimbursement at the IRS posted rate (currently $0.575 per mile).
Excellent communication and documentation skills required.
Must acquire 4 hours of Continuing Education in the field of Hemophilia annually (available for free, online). Must get first four hours within two months of hire.
Must maintain nursing liability insurance annually through NSO or equivalent.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
