We are seeking a General Manager/Executive Director to lead our newest community - Oakdale of La Mesa. This 180 apartment community is located in the beautiful East county of San Diego. The primary responsibilities of this opportunity include enhancing the life experience of residents, the workplace experience of team members and instilling a sense of belonging for both customers and employees.
The GM is also responsible for leading a team of service professionals, modeling our service standards, and driving operational excellence. Engaging Team Members, demonstrating influential leadership, and delivering on a WESTclass experience is our expectation to produce overall business success. Responsibilities
o Direct the overall operation of the community in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local guidelines and regulations.
o Represent the community at the property and outside of the community.
o Develop, administer, and control the revenue and expense budgets.
o Analyze Profit and Loss statements and General Ledger statements.
o Participate in and review the Marketing Plan.
o Ensure resident service plans are current and proper.
o Ensure open lines of communication exist.
o Establish and direct the implementation of policies and procedures as set forth by WESTliving.
o Ensure customers rights are protected and maintained at all times.
o Maintain successful public relations to serve the best interest of the community.
o Make routine rounds throughout the community to assure from first hand observations that an optimum level of service is provided, the environment is being maintained in a safe and sanitary fashion, systems are in place, and that team members are appropriately attired and receiving appropriate supervision.
o Recruit, select, train and motivate Team Member Leaders.
o Ensure team member attentiveness and anticipation of customer's needs.
o Receive advice from department supervisors concerning the operation of their departments, and other related areas, to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas, and/or improvement of services.
o Ensure timely service excellence self-audits are conducted.
Skills
o Thorough Understanding of accounting principles
o Thorough Understanding of the Sales Process
o Ability to instill a polished hospitality approach in all aspects of the operation
o Ability to mentor and provide coaching and development to others
o Conduct meetings and publically speak in front of large audiences
o Establish and maintain positive relationships/rapport with others
o Create a positive, safe and comfortable atmosphere
Knowledge
o A four year college degree or equivalent training/experience within the senior living industry as approved by the state licensing agency.
o Certification as required by the state. (Examples: Administrators Certification, Certified Facility Manager, Etc.)
o Ongoing education as required by the state's licensing agency.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
