Production Manager - Food Processing
Salary: $55,000. to $65,000. Per Year

Summary:
Our growing Food Processing/AG client is PARTNERING with us in search of an experienced Production Manager for the excellent Direct Hire Career position that offers lots of growth potential. Will oversee all nut shelling/electronic sorting/hand sorting/fumigation/warehousing operations - Nut industry experience is a MUST!
Responsibilities:
o Meet goals of kernel packing throughput and quality
o Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties
o Ensure a safe workplace environment for all employees and visitors
o Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
o Oversee operation, maintenance, and safety of all processing equipment and forklifts
o Maintain and improve operation of facility to efficiently produce product to meet customer expectation
o Help create operating and capital budgets and keep spending within approved limits
o Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with plant manager, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
o Oversee installation and construction of approved capital projects if any
o Coordinate communication between production and logistics departments
o Ensure that shipment quality meets contracted specifications
o Ensure that facility meets requirements of Federal and State regulatory agencies
o Help manage overall personnel and food safety of facility
o Ensure inventory control, quality and accuracy
o Assist plant manager with other areas of production when needed
o Reconcile all daily jobs to ensure proper tag dumping and printing is maintained.
Requirements:
MUST have experience as a Production Manager as described above in the Nut/Food Processing industry.
