FIBER OPTICS
APT College is seeking qualified instructors to teach Fiber Optics courses. You can supplement your current income up to $1500 per month. Are you a Field Engineer or Certified Fiber Optics Technician?
Teach students in telephone, surveillance CCTV and CATV fiber optic network installations.
Qualified teachers will instruct in industry standards governing FTTD (Fiber To The Desk), FTTH (Fiber To The Home, LAN/WAN fiber networks, and further introduce students to basic fusion and mechanical splicing. Students will learn how to identify fiber types, recognize various connectors used in fiber installation; and install, terminate, splice, and properly test installed fiber cable to existing standards. You will provide students hands-on training using a Light Source and Power Meter (LSPM) and Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) preparing them for testing and troubleshooting fiber optic network systems. Provide students personalized instruction in operating specialized equipment such as fusion splicers, OLTSs and OTDRs and teach them how to interpret test results.
Courses are on-site classroom instruction, so you must be able to teach on-site evening courses and have ability to travel (either locally or regionally). Travel time is paid.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and prior teaching experience in a technical field.
Wireless Communications
Teach students wireless communication technology courses.
Qualified teachers will instruct in basic principles of wireless communications from 1G to 4G and beyond. Course content includes topics such as wireless channel modeling, frequency reuse, capacity, channel coding, modulation and demodulation, OFDM, MIMO and other topics.
You will use your knowledge to help students build on their current, basic understanding of engineering fundamentals such as sinusoidal signals, wavelength, frequency, etc.

Cisco Internetworking Fundamentals (CIF)
Need Internetworking professionals experienced in using products and procedures to meet the challenge of creating and administering internetworks. Qualified teachers will instruct in Cisco Internetworking Fundamentals (CIF) and similar courses. This position requires someone with a Bachelor's degree and prior experience teaching others in internetworking.
You will use your knowledge of internetworking to teach this CIF course presenting an overview of internetworking basics such as introductions to: LAN protocols, WAN technologies, bridging and switching basics, routing basics, network management basics and OSI (Open System Interconnection) protocols.
Courses are on-site classroom instruction, so you must be able to teach on-site evening courses and have ability to travel (either locally or regionally). Travel time is paid.
