Trend Micro, Inc. seeks a Sales Engineer in Irving, TX. ( May be required to travel to various unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. May telecommute.)
Job Duties: Act as the technical bridge between Sales Representatives and pre-sales customers. As the prime technical relationship holder with pre-sales customers, help close deals by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone. Provide detailed technical knowledge of Trend Micro software products in the pre-sales context in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment under minimal supervision. Provide Proof of Concept service to pre-sales customers and help clients with planning and implementation of Trend Micro products. Provide software and network troubleshooting in complex customer environments. Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta Trend Micro products. Share best practices with other SEs to enhance quality of service and efficiency. Provide product training and mentoring when required. Contribute to building the SE Readiness Program and develop Subject Matter Expertise in assigned products and solutions. Will travel regionally to deliver sales presentations to customers as well as marketing and user group events. Channel feature requests to Product Management to enhance Trend Micro products. Participate in alliance projects including building vendor and customers relationships. Participate in Trend Micro beta testing.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors ( or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field and 3 years experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Will accept 2 years experience in lieu of Bachelors degree.
Experience must include:
1. Sales Engineering and/or professional services experience required
2. Experience with Computer Software and Systems
3. Experience with Content Security Software and Systems
4. Experience with vMWare vCenter and View/VDI.
5. Network Infrastructure Experience
6. coaching and mentoring skills
7. Microsoft - Windows, Active Directory, System Center, Exchange, SQL and IIS
8. Experience with Linux, PostreSQL, Lotus Notes and Domino
9. Host Based Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, File Integrity Monitoring, Antivirus, Data Loss Protection, Endpoint Encryption, E-Mail and Web Gateway Security, e-mail encryption, Penetration Testing, SysLog
10. VMware vCloud Director Experience and Familiarity with Amazon AWS
11. Citrix XenDesktop and Provisioning Services experience
12. Routing, Switching, Edge Firewalls, Load Balancing
