DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lumenance is searching for experienced, motivated Electrical System R&D Engineers with electrical system development experience in the automotive industry. We have multiple US-based contract positions requiring a minimum of 1 year direct experience in the development of electrical systems for automotive applications. The incumbent must be able to work in the fast paced, project focused environment of automobile design and manufacturing.
These positions are in Ohio, USA. Lumenance will procure the necessary U.S. working visas for qualified candidates from Mexico and Canada.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a 4-year degree in Electrical or related engineering field.
Must have a minumum of 2 years experience developing automotive electrical systems
Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English
Must be a citizen of the US, Mexico, or Canada
Must be able to successfully complete Lumenance required background check and drug test
Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and research new technologies for automobile electrical systems. This may include antilock braking systems, traction control systems, vision systems, display systems, Infotainment systems, chassis related sensors (e.g. yaw rate sensors), body control modules, switches and passenger controls, keyless entry, security systems, and other electronics/systems typically found in modern automobiles.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure technical objectives are feasible and met.
Actively collect and understand functional (hardware, software, communication) requirements for assigned systems.
Propose, develop, and justify any new functions (hardware, software, sensor, system, etc.) to meet the market requirements.
Develop, write, and obtain internal sign-offs for system specifications to which you are assigned as lead.
Perform and/or monitor all necessary vehicle testing (hardware, software, system) to guarantee the product/system is acceptable for mass production.
Develop and present reports to explain or record development activities to stakeholders.
Support factory, sales, etc. as required for product explanations, owner's manual reviews, manufacturing issues, or market complaints.
Understand entire new vehicle development schedule and lead times.
Create and manage the parts/system development schedule with consideration to all parties (development team, manufacturing, suppliers).
Manage the parts/system suppliers in order to achieve the development requirements on schedule.
Work with suppliers, designers and engineers in cross-functional areas in order to meet the required schedule.
Able to provide manager and customers with accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and foreseeable dependencies.
Able to independently manage ones own work schedule and communicate with management and customers should additional time or resources be needed to complete ones assigned tasks.
Participate in development reviews includes development of presentation and report material required to effectively communicate technical and project related concepts.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Experience with CAN, LIN, and preferably MOST automotive communication protocols
Experience troubleshooting ECU hardware or vehicle function failures
Experience in project management (setting & managing schedules, meeting deadlines, directing other groups to achieve developments goals, etc.)
Ability to use common electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, ESD equipment, etc.)
Experience with troubleshooting hardware test or vehicle function failures
Ability to work independently and manage one's assigned projects
Motivated and willing to take initiative
Able to function independently on a day-to-day basis
Solid organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly motivated with ability to take initiative

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
