Our client, located in Seville, Ohio, has an immediate need to fill the position of Tool and Die Maker.

Job Description
This Company provides manufacturing and engineering services to a wide variety of industries including automotive and construction. Looking for a Tool & Die Maker.

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform duties in one or more of these focus areas, based upon assignment from supervisor, skills and abilities.
o Check daily / weekly / monthly assignment from Lead Person.
o Maintain required quality control checks throughout assignment.
o Contact Lead Person or supervisor regarding any problems.
o Maintain clean area and help others maintain clean area.
o Maintain safe work area, wear proper personal protective equipment.
o Take responsibility for personal quality in workmanship.
o Interact with co-workers, leaders, engineers, and supervisors to support new construction, die repair, production, or maintenance as required.
o Assist in training other as requested.
o Follow all applicable TS16949 processes.
o 5S housekeeping.
o Perform all other duties as required,

Die Maker Focus
o Perform die making operations as per blue print requirements by working with co-workers, leaders, engineers and supervisors for construction of new dies.
o Operate various types of equipment for construction of new dies, including milling machine, saw, shaper, lathe, CNC, drills, grinders,
o Assemble die with required equipment, including die shoe, screw holes, clearance holes, dowels, punch retainers, cutting punches, forms, and stripper.
o Prepare a simulated stamping operation in tool room.
o Test after all phases are correct and run on press as a try out.
o Perform press operations and troubleshoot to meet part print specs.
o Work with quality control in regard to product performance and process capability of tool.
o Verify parts are ready for production by running 100-5,000 pieces.

Experience by Level

Tool & Die Level A
o Effectively and efficiently perform all essential functions of Tool & Die B.
o Able to troubleshoot tools/dies in the press.
o Ability to do tool developments and builds.
o Ability to complete engineering changes.
o Ability to train interns and/or apprentices assigned to them.

Tool & Die Level B
o Effectively and efficiently perform all essential functions of Tool & Die C.
o Provides ideas on how to improve tooling.
o Ability to read part prints and CMM layouts.
o Able to make in press repairs and/or adjustments.
o Able to trouble shoot tools/dies at bench.

Tool & Die Level C
o Ability to use surface grinders, mills, tig/mig welders.
o Able to perform basic tooling repairs.
o Has working knowledge of press controls for tooling tryouts.
o Authorized LOTO training.

Education
o High School graduate or GED.
o Vocational school in Tool & Die, Machining or equivalent area.
o Journeyman Tool & Die Maker.

To be considered for this position, the candidate must possess these
Qualifications:
o High School Education, GED or higher.
o Vocational school in Tool and Die, Machining, or equivalent area.
o Progress Die Experience.
o Tool and Die Journeyman Status is a plus.
o Interested in 3rd Shift?
o Local or close enough for a short easy move.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
