SUMMARY
Ensures all production equipment are operating to efficiency levels identified by the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Confirms production machines are operating at designated cycle times.
Provide training to employees.
Troubleshoot and repair machines when required.
Ensure Preventative Maintenance procedures are followed.
Mounts cutting tools in tool holders and mounts them on machine, using wrenches, verifying their position with gauges and other measuring instruments.
Replaces worn machine parts.
Must have the ability to work well alone and in teams of co-workers.
Must possess the ability to follow instructions, accept constructive criticism, and convert this information into a productive and positive outcome.
Will comply with all Safety policies and procedures at all times while on the company property and conducting company business.
This is a hands on position, candidate will be expected to operate and/or set-up machines when required.
Must be able to use machines that measure, bore, thread, cut, shave and shape component parts. Machines or electronic equipment that an operator may use in the performance of their jobs include:
Stone and Diamond grinder, Drill press, Parts counter.
Hand tools that are used include: Pliers, screw drivers, hammer, vise, torque, wrench, caliper, tweezers, vice grip, micrometer, dial and limit gauges, and scales. Assorted hand tools.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Three to five year directly related experience is required.
Direct experience with TRONOS/BECHLER single sliding headstock cam drive screw machines is preferred.
Experience with ESCOMATIC screw machine is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to computer rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
WORKING HOURS
If required the employee will work the following:
1. Over Time
2. Split Shifts
3. Rotating Shifts
4. Weekends
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Safety gear such as safety glasses, gloves, smocks, and aprons shall be worn as appropriate during working and when tasks warrant safety protection for your well being. Ergonomic support is required in all respects.

Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, your co-workers and equipment free from mishaps.
Be certain that you completely understand instructions before starting work. Avoid taking short cuts through safe work procedures.
