Provides highly complex analyses across a broad spectrum of programs, policies and initiatives or provides in-depth, complex analyses as a specialist in one policy field. Assists in creation of campus-wide policies and guidelines for international initiatives and programs. Develops campus-wide policies and guidelines for international initiatives and programs that will be applied to all academic and research units. Develops and coordinates policy communications. Formulates strategies for education and enforcement. Develops and advocates solutions to system issues, including developing and administering new systems, policies, processes, or programs. Sets office strategy and priorities; assists with budget development and tracking. Proposes, leads and/or participates on policy and planning committees and working groups on international activities and global strategies. Researches and summarizes best practices in field. Develops proposals and recommendations to guide and support a broader strategic direction for the organization. Collaborates with departments such as risk management, legal, BCO and IPIRA to coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of new programs and processes. Makes high-level contacts of a sensitive nature, internally and externally requiring discretion and diplomacy in order to negotiate with or persuade officials to adopt the proposed solution. Leads and directs a wide variety of projects and follows through with all levels of staff and individuals inside and outside the organization. Implements and maintains network of international points of contact in each department / unit to better coordinate flow of information on new policies, guidelines and initiatives. Develops and maintains a network of points of contact in all academic and research units and administrative offices on campus to better coordinate the flow of information on new international policies, guidelines and initiatives. Serves as primary resource for network. Manages content for GEO website.
Requirements
3-5 years of demonstrated experience and knowledge in international education and student affairs. Multicultural competencies and experience working with international constituencies. Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the campus as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies. High-level project management skills with ability to work autonomously and with others to achieve program goals, including program design, implementation, and evaluation. Strong analytical/problem-solving skills to recognize potential areas of constituency concern and to address, resolve and / or mitigate problems or issues. Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Advanced ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with campus departments, senior administration and international constituencies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing. Ability to multi-task with demanding time-frames and set short- and long-term strategic goals.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
