Land Surveyor

A growing, professional civil engineering and surveying firm is seeking candidates to interview for full time Surveyor and Instrument Operator positions in the Evansville and Jasper offices. Primary responsibilities include gathering data for route, boundary, topographic, and engineering design surveys in a fast-paced environment. Experience in construction layout is also preferred. Focus of responsibilities will generally be related to land surveying and civil engineering projects.
Candidates should be able to manage computer file systems, understand file interrelationships between computers and instruments; have the ability to identify specific information from construction plans and legal property descriptions; possess the ability to write clear and accurate survey notes; perform field calculations; possess the ability to accurately transfer information in numerical, written, sketched, and electronic format to and from sources such as legal descriptions, construction plans, aerial photographs, and computer files; possess software proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft-Outlook, Word, Excel.
Candidates must be able to manage field functions economically and efficiently, organize work, establish priorities, and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with staff and clients.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
