Please contact me at 415 228 4275 if you have any questions about the opportunity The Software Applications Architect will provide guidance to the Software Development team through participation in the full software development cycle from ideation to implementation (HIPPA compliant) that directly align with client's key priorities and support IT strategies.
Responsible for determining integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet business needs and provides the necessary technical performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities:
o Assist and mentor a team of software developers for product and/or project development.
o Provide full life cycle development including requirements analysis & definition, design, development, testing and implementation of projects that support business goals.
o Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture and integration documentation.
o Participate in code reviews to ensure processes support existing architecture, follow defined guidelines and coding standards and meet user requirements.
o Identify process improvements and enhancements to existing business and IT processes that will increase operating efficiencies.
o Responsible for implementing project oriented solutions in line with corporate wide architecture and security standards.
o Participate in the design, development, and support of new software solutions in a team environment with minimum assistance or supervision.
o Provide the reusable standards, guidelines, patterns and frameworks to application development projectso Collaborate with Product Managers on project requirements.
o Assists software staff in resolving any issues identified during the projecto Work closely with development teams to understand the architecture of existing products and systems and ensure the alignment of new solutions with the company's strategic and tactical goals.
o Meet deadlines and communicate status to Software Development Manager and Product Managerso Provide consulting expertise on matters of systems design and development.
o Build strong relationships within department and other outside areas including business owners.
REQUIREMENTS:
o Knowledgeable about all phases of Software Development Lifecycle - SDLCo Excellent communication skills and strong documentation skills are required.
o Ability to lead, inspire, and coach others.
o Experience in coordinating small to mid-size technical teams, including initial development of applications, driving problem management activities for new and existing applications and leading highly efficient troubleshooting teams.
o Ability to work with teams across multiple business departments.
o Knowledgeable with a broad range of development platforms, languages and technologies.
o Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
o Work on and manage multiple project tasks at a time.
o Exemplary general IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.
)o Maintain a current knowledge of industry trends related to.
NET framework development, Service Oriented Architecture, and web services through vendor training, seminars and conferencesEDUCATION:
o BS degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Technology or 10-12 years of equivalent experience EXPIERENCE:
o 7
years of hands-on application development experience.
o 10
years of progressive application systems development experience utilizing a full SDLC, with experience in following preferred:
o 5-10 years of experience building applications using.
NET 2.
0 framework or greater, C#, ASP.
Net, VisualStudio 2010/2012, MVC, Entity Framework, WCF, TFSo 5
years of experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or similaro Experience developing enterprise-level systemso Experience leading others in the development and deployment of small to mid-size projectso Experience with, UML, Data modeling, Design Patterns, o Must be comfortable developing JQuery or equivalent, HTML 5, CSSo Strong experience with SQL Server 2008 or greater with the ability to write and understand complex SQL queries.
o Experience within HealthCare domain, EDI Processing is a plus but not recommended.
o Experience with reporting solutions such as Crystal Reports and SSRS.
o Technical exposure on Azure or AWS, Hadoop, NoSQL, NHibernate, REST-full services, JSON.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
