Netflix Part-time Machine Operator - (Monday through Thursday)
Netflix has an opening for part-time Machine Operators to join our Northborough hub where we ship red envelopes filled with movies and TV shows to our customers. The schedule for this role is Monday through Thursday 2:15 AM to 7:00 AM.
Hourly Rate $12.75 an hour
Position Description:
o Performs basic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on all equipment. Previous automation experience is preferred.
o Ability to set up machines, changes over machines from one job to another, run applications, operate the machines to production standard and follow general equipment safety guidelines.
o Effectively communicate with management staff and technicians, in person and over the phone.
o Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, train and mentor machine operators.
o Operate automated equipment. Load supplies, DVDs and mailers into automated machinery for processing. Remove processed DVDs and mailers from equipment.
o Ensure proficiency with process for equipment; output of machine is maintained at optimal performance standards.
o Demonstrated ability to work independent and exercise good judgment in decision making.
o Ability to work with a team in a professional environment.
o Ability to follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures, established by the company.
o Ability to maintain or exceed set metrics for the equipment you are assigned to operate.
o Safely load, transfer and transport materials. Place processed DVDs into bin boxes, mailers in correct USPS trays. Load boxes, trays and supplies on carts to transport materials within facility.
o Prepare totes for mailing. Place cardboard sleeve over USPS tray of processed mailers. Use strapping machine to place secure straps around tray. Load tray on cart for conveyance to Post Office.
Requirements:
o Must be able to pass criminal background check.
o Strong communication skills with English language.
Ability to respond to instructions, understand equipment manuals and assist with repairs.
o Complete process and maintenance related paperwork.
o Ability to stand for the duration of your shift, working in a fast paced production driven environment.
o Sufficient manual dexterity in both hands to manipulate materials, discs, packaging and sleeves.
o Ability to grasp and safely lift and carry a tray or box of DVD discs, and/or a box of mailers, weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
