Materials (Logistics) Manager, Auto Parts


MATERIALS (LOGISTICS) MANAGER - AUTOMOTIVE PARTS PLANT
Starting salary range: $75-95000 DOE. Competitive Benefits Plan
(Note: No relocation support. Must be able to commute to the plant in Ossian, IN)
Position reports to the plant manager with daily interactions with other plant managers.
Duties and Requirements of the Job:
1. Review claims and concerns involving OEM's, serve as a customer contact.
2. Interact with department managers to resolve issues and problems
concerning customers and plant operation.
3. Interact. problem solve and provide direction for daily activities.
4. Develop and implement procedures and policies.
5. Develop and implement continuous process improvement plans.
6. Manage inventory goals and purchasing budgets.
7. Ensure TS 16949 compliance for Materials area(s) of responsibility.
8. Fully participate in the QOS continuous improvement process.
9. Supervise planner I schedulers and service coordinator.
10. Performs such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
11. Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation. Also including. but not limited to organization goals and objectives, planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the department and ensure adequate and continuouso control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.

Training, Knowledge and
Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree frorn a four-year college or university; or 5 years related experience
2. Training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Broad background in manufacturing technology and line operating experience.
4. Practical, hands on experience with warehousing and logistics.
5. Working knowledge of the AQP process.
6. Training in problem solving techniques.
7. BPICS I MRP Pull Systems experience
8. Tier I auto parts experience
Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
1. Nothing that would prohibit overnight or extended travel.
2. Ability to travel (including air travel and long automobile trips).
Licensing or Other Special Certifications
1. CPIM/APICs preferred
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
