Senior Product Engineer - Automotive Timing SystemsOur client is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to lead their engineering projects in support of advanced VCT(Variable Cam Timing) product development and new VCT business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Creation and/or review of product performance specifications Proof of concept evaluation and technical assessment of designs Recommend design changes that meet customer's technical requirements DFMEA and DVP&R reviews with customers Analysis of prototype parts for functional performance Release design for various program phases in conformance with product design guidelines and Product Development Processes Plant product support for improved quality, manufacturing efficiency or design cost reductions.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 5
years experience in VCT or close tolerance mechanical/hydraulic devices Detailed understanding of design processes Knowledgeable in GD&T and tolerance stacks Excellent problem solving skills (8D, FTA, DOE) Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis Experience and knowledge in the TS-16949 quality systems.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
